Terms of Service
# by using twin (the hosted service at twin.arshsingh.net) you agree to these terms.
1. the service
Twin is a personal memory and knowledge-graph product operated by Arsh Singh (sole proprietor). You may use it to ingest your own content (notes, email, calendar, code repositories, etc.) and surface it back to yourself via the Twin web app, MCP server, browser extension, or other Twin surfaces.
2. your account
- You must be 13 or older to use Twin.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- One person per account; you may not share access.
- You can close your account any time; see the privacy policy for what happens to your data.
3. your content stays yours
You retain all rights to the content you ingest into Twin. By using Twin, you grant us a limited, revocable license to process your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you (running entity resolution, fact extraction, retrieval, briefs, etc.). We do not claim ownership of your data, do not use it to train AI models, and do not sell it.
4. acceptable use
Don't:
- Ingest content you do not have the right to (including third-party data you are prohibited from copying or processing).
- Use Twin to harass, defame, or invade the privacy of others.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to breach the security of Twin or other tenants.
- Use Twin for any unlawful purpose.
- Resell or sublicense the hosted service to third parties without written permission.
5. third-party data and consent
When you ingest content that involves third parties (e.g., people who emailed you, attendees on your calendar), you are responsible for ensuring your processing of that content complies with applicable law. Twin processes such content only to provide the service to you and only for as long as you retain it.
6. connected accounts
If you authorize Twin to connect to a third-party service (Google Mail, Google Calendar, etc.), Twin will access only the scopes you grant and use them as described in the privacy policy. You can revoke access in your account settings or from the third party's authorization page.
7. beta status, no warranties
Twin is in active development. It may have bugs, data may occasionally be lost, and features may change or be removed. Twin is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You assume the risk of using Twin to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arsh Singh and Twin will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) Twin. Total cumulative liability for any claim related to Twin will not exceed the greater of (a) $20 USD, or (b) the amount you paid Twin in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. termination
You may stop using Twin and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these terms or if continuing to provide the service to you is no longer feasible, with reasonable notice except where security or law requires otherwise. Sections that by their nature should survive (3, 7, 8, 10, 11) will survive termination.
10. changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the email on your account at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Twin after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
